The
Côtes-du-Rhône plots of land at Domaine de la Mordoree
The
great variety of our plots of land throughout the communes of Rochefort
du Gard , Saze and Domazan do not allow for a specific geological
and climate study. We chose two plots merely for the interest of illustration.
The
climate is close to that of Tavel.
Plot
of AOC Côtes du Rhône within Rochefort du Gard village territory

The
subsoil is composed of sand, a little clay and seashell sediments,
remains of an era when the region was under the sea (15 million years
ago).
The
wines produced are very fruity.

We
blend the wines from this parcel with other generic Côtes du
Rhône wines.
Terraced
plateau from the Villafranchian period, rich with round pebbles carried
by the river Rhône about 1.9 million years ago. This robust
type of land easily withstands both dry spells and rainy years.
The
wines produced are rich and round.
